Explosive Ordnance (UXOs) and to give a comprehensive
knowledge to teachers and school children about
the threat of UXOs, 552 Brigade has launched a
Mine Risk Education Programme for them. In its

continuation with the programme of vacating the
civilians’ properties occupied by Army in Jaffna,
25 houses and 2 plots of lands remained in the
512 Brigade enclosure of Ariyalai were handed
back to their owners on Friday (18) in the presence
of representatives of the Civil Administrative
authorities in the area. ............

of the 23rd Battalion Gemunu Watch, the 12th Battalion
of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and the 15th Battalion
Sri Lanka National Guard treated hundreds of civilians
passing the Iyakkachchi junction with rice and
curry at their Dansala on the Wesak Full
Moon day (05). Residents in the 552 Brigade area
with their younger ones also enjoyed lunch at
the Dansala............
