Soldiers Conduct Anti Dengue Campaign in Kopay

Soldiers of the 7th Gajaba Regiment serving at Urelu under the 51 Division conducted an anti dengue campaign during the national anti dengue week. Mosquito breeding areas and drains in and around the Kopay Teachers’ College were cleaned and water-collecting empty containers were destroyed.

Jaffna at the early stage of island-wide dengue threat recorded the highest number of patients comparatively. However, prompt actions taken by Jaffna health authorities with assistance of Security Forces - Jaffna could curtail the spread of the disease.

Army troops located in different places in Jaffna are still continuing anti dengue campaigns in respective areas.
