Army Arranges More Donations to Ramavil Welfare Centre

Another community welfare programme initiated by the Security Forces with assistance of the Wasanthan FM, Independence Television Network (ITN), IDM Computer Institute and 306-01 Lions’ Club of Diyawanna got underway for the inmates of the Ramavil IDP (Internally Displaced Persons) Welfare Centre at Kodikamam Friday (05.10.2010) morning.

School items, toys and garments for over 100 children and packets of milk powder for 160 breast feeding mothers living at the Welfare Centre comprised the donation. Commander 522 Brigade Colonel Hemantha Bandara and representatives of all donor organizations distributed the parcels of gifts among the recipients at a function held at the welfare Centre.

Security Forces-Jaffna, to uplift the standard of education and livelihood of Jaffna citizens is conducting a number of programmes.
