Jaffna Campus Symbolizes Unity & Brotherhood
[Updated :: 2010-11-09 16:10:04 Hours]

Setting example to undergraduates in the south, senior students in the University of Jaffna offered warm and brotherly welcome to newcomers and organized a function to familiarize with them before the academic year of the University commenced.

Among the new enrolments are 50 Sinhalese and 49 Muslim students who are registered at the faculties of Arts, Management, Medicine and Science.

Unity among the students at the campus was displayed when first year students of all communities along with their seniors presented cultural performance at a book launching ceremony recently organized by the students of Law.

Unlike in other universities in the south, Jaffna students are more concerned in their studies rather than infusing politics into the University. Even during the war situation existed in Jaffna, functioning of the University did not cease.
