Division Organizes Medical Camp for Chava Civilians

A team of doctors and nurses attended to medical requirements of
approximately seven hundred civilians in and around Chavakachcheri,
who are unable to afford necessary medical attention when the 52
Division of Varani organized a medical camp at Chavakachcheri Hindu
College on 27th November.
one day medical camp including clinics for eye, dental and physical
care brought a great relief to people whose mental and physical
health were badly affected by the recent conflict situation.
coordination of the 52 Division commanded by Brigadier Anura Sudhasinghe,
Commander 522 Brigade Colonel Hemantha Bandara with his Civil Affairs
Officers was successful in getting the support of Colombo Rotary
Club to arrange this mobile medical service.
doctors and some medical staff members from hospitals in Jaffna
spent their valuable time at the request of the Army to diagnose
and treat the needy people who arrived in the venue for different
officials of the Colombo Rotary Club, General Officer Commanding
52 Division, Commander 522 Brigade and staff members of the Hindu
College were also present.
