Army Rescues Foreign Lady Doctor from Perverts

Army soldiers patrolling in Point Pedro area arrested three youths who were attempting to sexually abuse a foreign lady on 27th February.

The “Uthayan” newspaper published on 28th February reports that lady in question who is a doctor by profession had yelled for help while struggling to escape from the gangsters when some soldiers heard the cry and reached the location.

On the arrival of soldiers, three culprits tried to flee the scene. However, troops arrested them and handed over to the Point Pedro Police for further investigations.

At request of religious leaders, administrative officials, senior citizens and general public, Security Forces Headquarters – Jaffna recently mobilized extra troops for day and night patrolling and checking to curb several petty crimes occurred here and there in Jaffna.

The intensified security measures appreciated by peace-loving citizens in Jaffna have brought about desired results.
