Pooja Held at Chankanai Sri Murugan Temple to Bless Jaffna Commander

A special Pooja to invoke blessing on Commander Security Forces
- Jaffna (SF-J) Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe and the troops
serving in Jaffna was held at Sri Valli Thevasena Sametha Siva Subramanya
Swamy Thevasthanam (Sri Murugan Temple) Chankanai on Saturday (14.05.2011)
morning with participation of a large crowd of Army personnel and
Maha Mruthyunchaya Homam, Rev. N. Sugan Sarma Kurukkal, the head
priest of the temple prayed Lord Shiva to give strength, dynamism
and long life to the SF-J Commander and all soldiers serving in
the peninsula to serve more and more to Jaffna and its people.

to pious Hindus in Manipay area. The annual Pooja “Brahmmothsawam
2011” of the temple will be held after two days.
