Kumbhabhishekam of Karainagar Shivam Temple Held
[Updated :: 2011-06-08 08:55:28 Hours]

Thousands of Hindus paid their homage to Lord Shiva on Monday (06) attending the Kumbhabhishekam of the old Shivam temple at Karainagar. This year Kumbhabhishekam was held as renovations are being completed after 14 years.

Karainagar Shivam temple is dedicated to three deities, Lord Shiva, Patthini and Aiyanar, and festivals are held in May, August and December for each deity.

Many Hindu priests had arrived from India to conduct the Pooja.

Situated in a remote land full of serenity close to beautiful Kasurina beach, this temple annually draws huge crowds for festivals.
