Commander Security Forces - Jaffna (SF-J) Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe extended his heartiest wishes to young students from three schools in Jaffna leaving for Colombo to take part in a national level football tournament.

Thirty three students and six teachers from Jaffna College Vaddukkoddai, St. Henry’s College Illavalai and St. Patrick’s College Jaffna met Commander SF-J at the Civil Affairs and Public Relations Office before their departure from Jaffna on Friday (24).

“We are one nation living in one country. We all have equal rights. Face the tournament, show your skills and bring the Cup to Jaffna. I want you all to become stars,” Maj. Gen. Hathurusinghe told the boys wishing them good luck.

They will vie for the Sam Chandrasinghe Challenge Trophy organized by the Old Anandians’ Football Association in collaboration with Sam Chandrasinghe Football Academy Colombo. Matches will be held at Colombo Race Course on 26th and 27th June.

Security Forces Headquarters - Jaffna arranged free transport for them to travel to Colombo from Jaffna.
