New Water Filter Installed at Keeramalai Temple

A new water purifying system installed for the use of pilgrims arriving to worship Keeramalai Naguleshwaram temple was unveiled at the temple site on Friday (09). This new drinking water project donated by Ceylon Biscuits Limited (CBL) Colombo with coordination of the 515 Brigade consists of two water filters.

This is a fulfillment of a long-felt need at the Naguleshwaram Sivam Temple. The donor company has spent nearly Rs. 300,000/= on this humanitarian project for the benefit of large crowds visiting the temple daily.

The Chief Priest of the Temple Sivasri K. Naguleshwara Kurukkal conducted a Pooja before it was declared open.

Manager Public Relations of the CBL Mr. Janaka Boteju, Sales Supervisors Mr. S. Thayalan and Mr. Anton, Civil Affairs Officer of the 515 Brigade Lieutenant Colonel Ranjith Ekanayake, Divisional Secretary Thelippalai Mr. S. Muralitharan and Army and Police officers also attended the function.

The CBL built a drinking water well a few months ago in Ilavalai area at the request of the 513 Brigade.
