[Updated :: 2011-10-26 11:20:06 Hours]

Another blocks of lands belonging to residents in KN 95 Kilaly Grama Seva Division were handed over to their original owners a few days ago after the lands were cleared of mines by the Army Engineer troops attached to Security Forces Jaffna.

Forty six families were benefitted as they are hereafter allowed to use those lands after a couple of years of desertion due to risk of mines and other explosives laid by terrorists.

Handing over the lands to owners took place at Nuge Junction on the Kilaly jetty road.

Hon. Member of Parliament Kilinochchi District Mr. M. Chandrakumar, Government Agent Kilinochchi Mrs. R. Kethiswaran, Divisional Secretary Pachchalappallai Mr. T. Muhantha, Commander 522 Brigade Brig. Athula Silva and Commander 552 Brigade Brig. Deepthi Jayathilake attended the function.
