Forty soldiers serving in Jaffna who successfully completed a masonry course conducted by NAITA (National Apprenticeship and Industrial Training Authority) received their certificates last Tuesday (25) from the Commander Security Forces – Jaffna (SF-J) Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe at a brief ceremony held at SF-J gymnasium at Palaly.

They belonged to the first batch of soldiers who were professionally trained in masonry by NAITA for the first time. Training course arranged by the Civil Affairs and Public Relations Office Jaffna on directives of Commander SF-J started on 09 July 2010 and ended on 28th October 2010.

Commander SF-J during his address congratulated all certificate holders and appreciated their contribution towards government’s development projects and Army-initiated housing projects in Jaffna.
