To
assist the livelihood of newly resettled civilians in Kilaly area,
fifty fishing families of KN 95 Kilaly Grama Seva Division were
donated fishing nets and safety kerosene lamps on Thursday (02).
Four fishing
nets were given to each family by Hon. Parliamentarian Mr. M.
Chandrakumar with coordination of the Civil Affairs Office, 552
Brigade of Iaykkachchi.
The Civil Affairs Office distributed 100 safety
kerosene lamps among the same fifty families on the same occasion.
A set of office equipment was also handed over to the Kilaly Fisheries
Society.
The priest
of Mirusuvil Christian Church Rev. Fr. Pakkiyanathan, Commander
552 Brigade Colonel Deepal Wanniarachchi, Pachchilaippalli Divisional
Secretary Mr. T. Muhanthan and senior officers of the Brigade
participated in the event.
