Students
of the Buddhist Association of the University of Jaffna organized
a soft drink Dansala for passers by at Thirunelveli junction
on the Jaffna-Palaly road on the Wesak Full Moon day (05).
This was the
second consecutive year that Jaffna University Students organized
this soft drink Dansala celebrating the Wesak festival.
Rev. Meegahajandure Siri Vimala Thero of Sri Naga Vihara conducted
religious observances prior to the opening of the Dansala
on Saturday (05) afternoon.
Tamil and
Muslim students of the same bathes also assisted Buddhist students
to organize this as they did last year too.
Buddhist Association
of the University of Jaffna was started in 2011.
