Army reconstructs Navatkuly M.V. Playground

[2012-10-04 11:37:55]

J / Navatkuly Maha Vidyalaya giving education to about 750 students is one of the popular schools in the area. Many students attending this school show special talent in sports as an extracurricular activity. However the poor condition of the school playground did not permit the students to continue practices in comfortable manner.

As a result of the request made by the principal of Navatkuly M. V. who is maintaining good rapport with the 18th Gemunu Watch (18 GW) troops serving in Navatkuly, Lieutenant Colonel Sampath Bulathgama, Commanding Officer 18 GW made arrangements to reconstruct the school playground. Fifty soldiers worked on this using their labour and heavy machinery and handed over it to the school last week.

Troops were assisted in this project by the Maga Engineering Private Company working on road construction in Jaffna.
