Soldiers Clean Thelippalai Base Hospital

Troops of the 515 Brigade of Kankesanthurai conducted a Shramadana campaign to clean the premises of Thelippalai base hospital on Saturday, December 15th. The project was organized to coincide the National Health Week from 10th to 17th December.

Nearly 75 soldiers from the 7th Gajaba Regiment (7 GR) and the Headquarters 515 Brigade cleared the land and cleaned the drains during the Shramadana campaign organized with guidance of the Commander 515 Brigade Brigadier Buwaneka Randeniya. Director of the hospital Dr. Umashankar and medical staff members of the hospital extended their fullest support to the programme.

The following day, 60 soldiers donated blood to the hospital blood bank. Some civilians and police personnel also joined the Army-organized blood donation campaign.
