Selvapuram & Yogapuram Children Get Christmas Gifts from Army

With the dawn of Christmas in December 2012, Headquarters 51 Division together with “Bridge of Hope”, a religious organization conducted a Christmas festival for children at Selvapuram and Yogapuram in Urumpirai on 22nd December.

During the festival held at Selvapuram Uthayasuriyan Community Centre, Army distributed parcels of school items and shoes and other essentials, each pack worth of Rs. 3500/=, to 120 students resident in those two villages. All who took part in the event was treated with snacks and tea by the 51 Division.

National Director of Gospel for Asia-Lanka and Vice General of Believers Church Colombo Rv. Fr. Lal Vanderwall, Rev. A. Arumainayagam of Believers Church Jaffna, General Officer Commanding Brigadier Chandana Gunawardane, Grama Niladhari Selvapuram Mr. Selvasanthiran, Army personnel and villagers attended the function.
