Super Luxury Bus Service for Army Troops to Proceed on Leave from Jafffna

Major General Dharshana Hettiarachchi, the Security Force Commander - Jaffna commenced a Super Luxury bus service on 01 November 2017 for the Army troops proceeding on leave from Jaffna to Colombo and Colombo to Jaffna daily. This welfare measure was initiated in collaboration with a private bus company to provide a comfortable journey for the Army personnel to proceed on leave.

The bus service will go to all major camps in Jaffna district to pick Army personnel proceeding on leave and during the return journey from Colombo, the bus will go to all major camps to drop the Army personnel.

During the journey from Jaffna to Colombo and Colombo to Jaffna, each passenger will be provided with a snack and a cup of tea. Further, arrangements have been made to show two films during each journey and bus will stop at two places in each journey to refresh the passengers. The buses are equipped with free Wi-Fi facilities and the seats can be adjusted to a comfortable position according to the wish of the passengers.
