23rd Anniversary celebrations of Security Force Headquarters Jaffna

The Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna celebrated its 23rd Anniversary with a series of events from16 to 20 June 2019. The series of programmes commenced on 16 June 2019 with a Bodhi Pooja on 16 June 2019 followed by the ceremony of paying floral tributes to the fallen war heroes at the War Heroes' Monument and whole night Pirith Chanting on 17 June 2019.

The Commander Security Force - Jaffna, Major General Darshana Hettiarrachchi was presented with a Guard of Honour by the troops, and later planted a Tree Sapling and proceeded to visit Palaly Base Hospital on 19 June 2019. On the same day, All Ranks Lunch was also organized as a part of celebrations.

Further, a Shramadhana Campaign was organized at the Cancer Hospital - Thelippalai and a Blood Donation Campaign was held at the Army Base Hospital - Palaly in collaboration with the Staff of the Teaching Hospital - Jaffna. Accordingly the programmes on 20 June 2019 concluded with a Musical Extravaganza held in the evening with the participation of troops under command to Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna.
