Commander Reiterates Effective Police Service in Jaffna

Commander Security Forces-Jaffna (SF-J) Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe
instructed Senior Police Officers of Jaffna and Kankesanthurai Divisions
to be more vigilant on the wave of organized crimes in their regions
and take stern actions to net the culprits and execute law against
them without any fear or favour.
Speaking to three Superintendents of Police (SP) and one Chief Inspector
on Tuesday (13.07.2010) at SF-J Headquarters Conference Hall, SF
Commander stressed the importance of addressing the needs of civilians
who reach the Police for justice in order to establish a People-Friendly
Police Service in Jaffna in complete sense of the meaning.
Maj. Gen. Hathurusinghe reminded them of the necessity to provide
an effective service to Jaffna community, specially at a time that
normalcy is fast retyurning to Jaffna.

Civil Affairs Officer Palaly Major Lal Nanayakkara, SP Kankesanthurai
Mr. Edmond Mahendran, SP (1) Jaffna Mr. Luxman Wijerathne, Personal
Assistant to the DIG Jaffna SP Mr. Raymond Quintus and HQI Jaffna
Chief Inspector Saman Sigera attended the meeting.
