St. Philip Nari's Church Resumes Service

The annual Mass of Champianpattu St. Philip Nari's Church that had been suspended as a result of LTTE activities in the north resumed on 29th may 2010 after four years.

Troops serving under the 551 Brigade cleaned the surrounding and decorated the churched and its vicinity with the help of Christians in the area before the first Mass was conducted by Jaffna Vicar General Rev. Fr. Dr. Justin B. Gnanapragasam, Rev. Fr. Anthonydas and a few more Christian priests.

General Officer Commanding 55 Division Brigadier A.L.S.K. Perera, senior Army officers, other ranks and over 400 Christian devotees attended the Mass.
