Service of Ex- Soldiers in Jaffna Admired

A group of retired Tamil Non Commissioned Officers (NCOs) who once rendered a dedicated service to the motherland as members of the Sri Lanka Army received warm welcome at the Headquarters 51Division in Jaffna town during a special get-together organized by the Division on 9th June 2010.

The get-together was organized by the 51 Division commanded by Brigadier Sarath Wijesinghe on direction of Commander Security Forces-Jaffna (SF-J) Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe.

General Officer Commanding (GOC) 51 Division Brigadier Sarath Wijesinghe, Officers and other ranks welcomed them to the event during which the happy Tamil ex-servicemen refreshed their cherished memories in the company of serving officers and other ranks.

The ex-servicemen expressed their high glee and conveyed sincere thanks for organizing the event to admire their service to the nation.

To mark the meeting, GOC 51 Division presented a memento to each participant at the end.
